Silent Prayer of Preparation: Nothing can trouble nothing can frighten, God alone fills us. -Taize

Welcome Remember while we are in different places, God is always with us, Emmanuel.

Introit:   Every time I feel the Spirit moving in my heart, I will pray. Yes every time I feel the Spirit moving in my heart, I will pray.

Call to Worship:                    Praise God for each breath, each hour, each gift from God!  Holy Spirit, remind us of everything we have learned from God.   Come Holy Spirit, Come! Let us worship God!

Hymn   Like the murmur of the dove’s song, like the challenge of her flight, like the vigor of the wind’s rush, like the new flame’s eager might: Come, Holy Spirit, come. With the healing of division, with the ceaseless voice of prayer, with the power to love and witness, with the peace beyond compare: Come, Holy Spirit, come.

Prayer of Confession: (Unison) Holy God, difficult times call for us to stand, forgive us when we are fear-filled. Forgive the right we have left undone and the wrong we have done.  (please pray silently).   Lord, speak to us, help us to hear. Restore to us the joy of your salvation, in Christ we pray.  Amen.

Assurance of Pardon  The Spirit of Christ reminds us of the life we have in his name!  Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, in Christ we are forgiven and set free, all of us!   Response: Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is peace; where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is love. There is comfort in life’s darkest hour; there is light and life, there is help and power in the Spirit, in the Spirit of the Lord.

Prayer for peace God, speak your peace and patience quietly into our hearts and souls, there are those in great need, breathe your Spirit of peace in us, In Christ we pray.  Amen.   Prayer for Illumination:   Your word is Spirit and Life, O Lord, richer than gold, stronger than death, your word is Spirit and Life, O Lord, Life everlasting.

Sermon                 “Standing with the Eleven”                                     Rev. Stuart C. Buisch

Creed                                                           Confession of Belhar We believe in one holy, universal Christian church, the communion of saints called from the entire human family. That this unity of the people of God must be manifested and be active in a variety of ways: in that we love one another; that we experience, practice and pursue community with one another; that we are obligated to give ourselves willingly and joyfully to be of benefit and blessing to one another.

Hymn   O holy Dove of God descending, You are the love that knows no ending, All of our shattered dreams You’re mending: Spirit, now live in me.

Joys and Concerns/Prayers of the People/Lord’s Prayer

Please keep the congregation in your prayers. Thanks for sending cards and calling  on the phone those of our members and friends.

Hymn Ref: She comes sailing on the wind, her wings flashing in the sun; on a journey just begun, she flies on. And in the passage of her flight, her song rings out through the night, full of laughter, full of light, she flies on. Silent waters rocking on the morning of our birth, like an empty cradle waiting to be filled.  And from the heart of God the Spirit moved upon the earth, like a mother breathing life into her child. Ref.

Charge    If we are not standing with God you may be sitting against God.  Check it out what are you supporting and what isn’t of interest to you. Do you agree with yourself?

Benediction May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the community of the Holy Spirit be with us all evermore.  Amen.

Benediction Response              Because He lives I can face tomorrow, because he lives all fear is gone, because I know God holds the future and life is worth the living just because he lives.
