Let every kindred, every tribe, on this terrestrial ball, to him all majesty ascribe, and crown him Lord of all; (2)
O that with yonder sacred throng we at his feet may fall! We’ll join the everlasting song, and crown him Lord of all (2) r325

These are the Words of the Lord: Thanks be to God

Sermon “Great Joy…as They Read” Rev. Stuart Buisch

Creed We trust in Jesus Christ, fully human, fully God: …healing the sick and binding
up the brokenhearted, eating with outcasts, forgiving sinners, and calling all to repent and
believe the gospel… God raised this Jesus from the dead, vindicating his sinless life,
breaking the power of sin and evil, delivering us from death to life eternal…In gratitude to
God, empowered by the Spirit, we strive to serve Christ in our daily tasks. A Brief Statement of Faith

Hymn Transform us as you, transfigured, once spoke with those holy ones. We, surrounded by the witness of those saints whose work is done, live in this world as your Body, chosen daughters, chosen sons.
Transform us as you, transfigured, would not stay within a shrine. Keep us from our great temptation- time and truth we quickly bind. Lead us down those daily pathways where our love is not confined. 2153

Joys and Concerns/Prayers of the People/Lord’s Prayer

Hymn Help me the slow of heart to move by some clear, winning word of love; teach me the wayward feet to stay, and guide them in the homeward way

.
Teach me they patience, still with thee in closer, dearer company, in work that keeps faith sweet and strong, in trust that triumphs over wrong. b 357

Charge We have at our disposal joy and pain, courage and sadness, let us be those who don’t hide when we are needed but bold to tell the good also when needed.

Benediction May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the community of the Holy Spirit be with us all evermore. Amen.

Benediction Response Lord, dismiss us with thy blessing; fill our hearts with joy and peace; let us each, thy love possessing, triumph in redeeming grace. O refresh us, O refresh us, traveling though this wilderness. b538
