Silent Prayer of Preparation: Lord Jesus Christ, your light shines within us, let not my doubts or my darkness speak to me Welcome Introit: Stay with me, remain here with me, watch and pray. (2)

Call to Worship: We gather as you call us together, we do the work of worship and of ministry. Whether we are making food, clothing the naked or deciding issues you are with us. Come Holy Spirit, Come! Let us worship God!

Hymn God, who stretched the spangled heavens infinite in time and place, flung the suns in burning radiance through the silent fields of space: We, your children in your likeness, share inventive powers with you; Great creator, still creating, show us what we yet may do. As each far horizon beckons, may it challenge us anew: children of creative purpose, serving others, honoring you. May our dreams prove rich with promise, each endeavor well begun; Great Creator, still creating, give us guidance till our goals and your are one. b268

Prayer of Confession: (Unison) Great One, we are small in your presence and we think sometimes of the limits of our size. Forgive us for not being bold to do your work and find your consensus in our midst so we can further your name and will. (please pray silently). Lord, speak to us, help us to hear. Restore to us the joy of your salvation, in Christ we pray. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon In Jesus Christ you are forgiven and set free to live for Him! In Christ we are forgiven and set free, all of us! Response: What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought since Jesus came into my heart! I have light in my soul for which long I had sought, since Jesus came into my heart! Since Jesus came into my heart, (2) floods of joy o’er my soul like the sea billows roll, since Jesus came into my heart. Prayer for peace: Peacemaking God, pour your grace into our hearts and souls. Let it take root in us and be a source of peace for those around us, In Christ we pray. Amen.

Prayer for Illumination: Spirit of God, unseen as the wind, gentle as is the dove. Teach us the truth and help us believe show us the Savior’s love.

These are the Words of the Lord: Thanks be to God Sermon “A Meeting” Rev. Stuart Buisch

Creed We trust in Jesus Christ, fully human, fully God: …healing the sick and binding up the brokenhearted, eating with outcasts, forgiving sinners, and calling all to repent and believe the gospel… God raised this Jesus from the dead, vindicating his sinless life, breaking the power of sin and evil, delivering us from death to life eternal…In gratitude to God, empowered by the Spirit, we strive to serve Christ in our daily tasks. A Brief Statement of Faith

Hymn I cannot tell how silently he suffered as with his peace he graced this place of tears, or how his heart upon the cross was broken, the crown of pain to three and thirty years. But this I know, he heals the broken hearted and stays our sin and calms our lurking fear, and lifts the burden from the heavy laden, for yet the Savior, savior of the world is here. I cannot tell how all the lands shall worship when at his bidding every storm is stilled, or who can say how great the jubilation when all the hearts of men with love are filled. But this I know, the skies will thrill with rapture, and countless voices then will join to sing, and earth to heaven, and heaven to earth will answer: “at last the savior, savior of the world, is king! r210

Joys and Concerns/Prayers of the People/Lord’s Prayer

Hymn Lord of all hopefulness, Lord of all joy, whose trust, ever childlike, no cares could destroy: be there at our waking, and give us, we pray, your bliss in our hearts, Lord, at the break of the day. Lord of all kindliness, Lord of all grace, your hands swift to welcome, your arms to embrace: be there at our homing, and give us, we pray, your love in our hearts, Lord, at the eve of the day. Lord of all gentleness, Lord of all calm, whose voice is contentment, whose presence is balm: Be there at our sleeping, and give us, we pray, your peace in our hearts, Lord, at the end of the day. 2197
