Silent Prayer of Preparation: By gracious powers so wonderfully sheltered, and confidently waiting, come what may, We know that God is with us night and morning and never fails to greet us each new day. -Bonhoeffer

Prelude “A Closer Walk” Jordan Welcome Introit: There’s a quiet understanding when we’re gathered in the Spirit, It’s a promise that He gives us, when we gather in His name. There’s a love we feel in Jesus, There’s a manna that he feeds us, It’s a promise that he gives us when we gather in his name. r556

Call to Worship: The gospel of Jesus Christ was proclaimed and people believed and found faith. We have found faith and so we have believed, do others know what we know? Come Holy Spirit, Come! Let us worship God!

Prayer of Confession: (Unison) We praise you God for the life and forgiveness you offer. Forgive us the sins that we have not named to you. Empower us to see what you see between us and You. (please pray silently). Lord, speak to us, help us to hear. Restore to us the joy of your salvation, in Christ we pray. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon In Jesus Christ you are forgiven and set free to live for Him! In Christ we are forgiven and set free, all of us! Response: What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought since Jesus came into my heart! I have light in my soul for which long I had sought, since Jesus came into my heart! Since Jesus came into my heart, (2) floods of joy o’er my soul like the sea billows roll, since Jesus came into my heart. Prayer for peace: O God, source of all peace, refresh our spirits with your gracious, life giving peace. Let that peace which goes beyond our understanding be contagious to others, In Christ we pray. Sermon “When You Aren’t Who Others Think You Are” Rev. Stuart Buisch

Creed We trust in Jesus Christ, fully human, fully God: …healing the sick and binding up the brokenhearted, eating with outcasts, forgiving sinners, and calling all to repent and believe the gospel… In gratitude to God, empowered by the Spirit, we strive to serve Christ in our daily tasks A Brief Statement of Faith

Hymn Called as partners in Christ’s service, called to ministries of grace, we respond with deep commitment fresh new lines of faith to trace. May we learn the art of sharing, side by side and friend with friend, Equal partners in our caring to fulfill God’s chosen end. Christ’s example, Christ’s inspiring, Christ’s clear call to work and worth, let us follow, never faltering, reconciling folk on earth. Men and women, richer, poorer, all God’s people, young and old, blending human skills together gracious gifts from God unfold. b343

Joys and Concerns/Prayers of the People/Lord’s Prayer

Hymn Go to the world! Go into all the earth. Go preach the cross where Christ renews life’s worth, baptizing as the sign of our rebirth, Alleluia. 2 Go to the world! Go struggle, bless and pray; the nights of tears give way to joyous day. As servant church, you follow Christ’s own way. Alleluia. 2 G295 Charge Ahab thought he was everything. He could have what he wanted. Naboth thought that since his family owned a piece of property it could always be his. It is easy to be so mistaken about what we know. Be sure of this God knows us and knows who we really are.

Benediction May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the community of the Holy Spirit be with us all evermore. Amen.

Benediction Response In the Name of the Maker and the Savior and the Spirit, In the Name of the Artist and the Lover and the Friend, In the Name of the Parent and the Child and the Presence In the Name of the Source and the Journey and the End, In the Name of the Three in the One in the Many, be it so, Amen.
