Prelude On Eagles Wings Joncas
Silent Prayer of Preparation: Come away with me to a quiet place, a part from the world with its frantic pace, Welcome Keep those who are praying at home alone in your love and prayers.
Introit: O’er all the way green palms and blossoms gay are strewn this day in festal preparation, where Jesus comes, to wipe our tears away; e’en now the throng to welcome him prepare. Join all and sing, his name declare; Let every voice resound with joyous acclamation! Hosanna! Praise ye the Lord! Bless him who cometh to bring us salvation.
Call to Worship: We are together for worship in a familiar place and God you know the changes. Open our eyes to what you see in these days, open our hearts to praise You! Come Holy Spirit, Come! Let us worship God!
Hymn Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia! Sons of men and angels say: Alleluia! Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia! Sing, ye heavens and earth reply: Alleluia! Sing we to our God above, Alleluia! Praise eternal as his love: Alleluia! Praise Him, all ye heavenly hosts, Alleluia! Father, Son and Holy Ghost, Alleluia! r289
Prayer of Confession: (Unison) Holy God, you draw the lines around our faith, forgive us when we think in smaller terms about your church and your believers. Forgive us too when we limit your grace to ourselves and to others. (please pray silently). Lord, speak to us, help us to hear. Restore to us the joy of your salvation, in Christ we pray. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon The Spirit of Christ reminds us of the life we have in his name! In Christ we are forgiven and set free, all of us!
Response: Come away with me to a quiet place, a part from the world with its frantic pace, to pray, reflect, and seek God’s grace. Come away with me. Come away.
Prayer for peace: O God, source of all peace, refresh our spirits with your gracious, life giving peace. Let that peace which goes beyond our understanding be contagious to others, In Christ we pray. Amen.

Creed We trust in Jesus Christ, fully human, fully God: …healing the sick and binding up the brokenhearted, eating with outcasts, forgiving sinners, and calling all to repent and believe the gospel. A Brief Statement of Faith
Hymn Ref: She comes sailing on the wind, her wings flashing in the sun; on a journey just begun, she flies on. And in the passage of her flight, her song rings out through the night, full of laughter, full of light, she flies on. Silent waters rocking on the morning of our birth, like an empty candle waiting to be filled. And from the heart of God the spirit moved upon the earth, like a mother breathing life into her child. Ref: To a gentle girl in Galilee, a gentle breeze she came, a whisper softly calling in the dark, the promise of a child of peace whose reign would never end, Mary sang the Spirit song within her heart. Ref: Long after the deep darkness that fell upon the world, after dawn returned in flame of rising sun, the Spirit touched the earth again, again, her wings unfurled, bringing life in wind and fires as she flew on. Ref 2122
Joys and Concerns/Prayers of the People/Lord’s Prayer Keep praying for our church and world.
Hymn I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry. All who dwell in deepest sin my hand will save. I who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright. Who will bear My light to them? Who shall I send? Ref: Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord? I have heard You calling in the night I will go, Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart. I, the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lame. I will set a feast for them, My hand will save. Finest bread I will provide Till their hearts be satisfied. I will give My life to them. Whom shall I send? b525 v 1,3
Charge May we always be open to God working in our time and during our days. May we look for ways to join God in that essential work.
