Silent Prayer of Preparation: Come away with me to a quiet place, to God’s loving arms waiting to embrace all those who come in hope of grace. Come away with me. Come away. Welcome Keep those who are praying at home alone in your love and prayers. Introit: Holy Spirit, Christ proclaimer, wisdom bringer, light our way. Call to Worship: God is our refuge and strength not only in trouble but every day of our lives. Lord of Angel armies, you are with us, Jacob wrestling God we are safe with you. Come Holy Spirit, Come! Let us worship God!

Prayer of Confession: (Unison) We are an independent people, God. We are raised from infancy to ‘do it alone’, forgive us for not connecting with you and accessing your strength in every day. (please pray silently) so create in us clean hearts. Refresh our spirits, in Christ we pray. Amen.

 

Assurance of Pardon The Spirit of Christ reminds us of the life we have in his name! In Christ we are forgiven and set free, all of us! Response: Come away with me to a quiet place, a part from the world with its frantic pace, to pray, reflect, and seek God’s grace.

Prayer for peace: O God, source of all peace, refresh our spirits with your gracious, life giving peace. Let that peace which goes beyond our understanding be contagious to others, In Christ we pray. Amen.

Charge Which is it, God strengthening or us putting our trust? Can they be separated? Can we trust God without God’s help. Explore that in new ways this week. Watch God’s role in you life increase and your placing your trust become more frequent.

 

Benediction May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the community of the Holy Spirit be with us all evermore. Amen. Thank you to those who are giving tithes, offerings and gifts. Bible study with masks and distancing Tuesdays at 7pm in the basement. In Sanctuary worship begins September 20 with masks and social distancing and no singing. Directions for worshipping in the sanctuary are out please read them. Easter flower money will buy mums for our first day back in the sanctuary, 9/20. If others want to order mums call the office, $10/each, deadline for ordering is 9/11.
