Aaron blessed the Israelites: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord let God's face shine upon you and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you God's face and bring you peace.
First as we shift to Numbers in the Bible study I wanted to remind you of some
of the treasures in this book. But I also want to look at this blessing.
What does it mean for you to be blessed by God and kept by God?
some like blessings to be material, wallet sized. God's blessings are much
more involved in granting the connection of God's face, and the peace that is brought by
God. As Israel and Gaza are locked in another deadly altercation we must not
confuse peace and conflict. Conflict is usually full of self interest, whether of the leader or the structures that are in power. Peace is more generous, content and hospitable.
May today be full of God for you and may that be doubly good.
