Sometimes repentance reflects stopping doing something that is wrong, immoral. But forgiveness also speaks of trusting God to release us into all that we could be for the kingdom of God. Forgiveness enables us to trust God in all kinds of situations because God is at work. God's desire is to know and love us much more than our desire can ever be to know God.
